  • Learn to Design and Implement Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum: Gain skills in creating and delivering curricula tailored to the developmental stages of children, promoting their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth within a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Collaborate with Teachers on Daily Activities: Develop the ability to work closely with teachers to plan, develop, and execute daily activities that enhance and support children’s overall development.
  • Assist with Daily Routines: Learn how to help children with essential daily routines such as washroom use, dressing, and lunchtime activities, ensuring comfort and independence.
  • Complete Developmental Checklists: Acquire the expertise to conduct and document detailed observations using anecdotal reports, observation checklists, and developmental checklists to track each child’s progress.
  • Participate in Staff Meetings: Build the skills to effectively attend and contribute to regular staff meetings, discussing children’s progress, identifying any issues, and proposing solutions based on your understanding of each child’s unique needs and development.

The curriculum covers safety practices, educational activities, and communication skills. Additionally, the program includes 490 hours of externship training in childcare settings. This hands-on training is vital to our program as it allows students to gain practical experience.
